Three different meanings of online
Someone searching for virtual DJ online may want a browser mixer, a streaming catalog, or help signing in. These are not interchangeable. Downloading the Windows application installs the mixer; opening this guide does not launch a hosted deck in your browser.
The publisher's online services can support accounts, catalogs and other workflows. Which functions need an internet connection depends on the feature and provider, not simply on whether a track appears in the library.
Local music versus streamed music
A local music file is stored on a disk you can access. A streaming entry refers to content supplied by a service. An item visible in a playlist does not necessarily remain playable without an internet connection.
Maintain a small local test folder. It provides a controlled way to check audio routing when a service is slow or unavailable. Use music files you are entitled to use and keep backups outside the main working disk.
Catalog subscriptions are separate

Plan for a connection failure
Before depending on streamed content, test the actual network and the intended account. Keep a lawful local alternative and know how to select it quickly. Rehearse with the internet disconnected only where your software and music permissions allow the workflow.
A successful sign-in is not a complete performance test. Confirm track search, loading, playback and any output devices separately. Avoid changing all of them at once when a single network request fails.
